Eligibility: Inland Northwest students and community members

Startup Weekend Spokane is a 54-hour event designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs.  Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, the weekend culminates in Sunday night demos and presentations.  Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education. 


Eligibility: WSU students only and state-wide high schoolers

The The WSU Business Plan Competition gives WSU students across all colleges and programs of study the opportunity to create cross-disciplinary teams and begin pursuing entrepreneurship while networking with university faculty, community entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

Eligibility: University of Idaho students only

The Business Plan Competition is open to all currently enrolled University of Idaho (UI) students and those who graduated during the current academic year. Teams may include non-UI students but must consist of one UI student for each non-university team member


Eligibility: Any student attending an institute of higher learning in Washington State

The UW Business Plan Competition is the marquee event for the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business. In the past 18 years, the Business Plan Competition has awarded $1.2 million in prize money to 139 student companies.
